This weekend is the last chance to prepare your taxes. If you want to be comprehensive then you'll need to read through the 13,458 pages of tax code. That's the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. If you want the Title 26 code, the part written by Congress, that's an additional 3,387 pages. You can buy your own copy from the U.S. Printing Office for $974 (shipping included). Better order now.

For a bit of history, the federal income tax was enacted in 1913 and defined income as 'all income from whatever source derived'. After 99 years of special interests and representatives beholden to them corrupting a simple document it's possible to have income that's not 'really' income and so is exempt from contributing to things like road maintainance, military healthcare, border patrol, etc. You get the idea. This could be a 3,000 word manifesto but you don't want to read that so ...

Sunday is the Hamilton run. The long version starts at LCHS.

I'll be out at 0700 to begin paying the mileage tax to whatever deities of long-distance running demand it. I have a race coming up, so I can pay that tax now, or I can pay it on race day. Wait . . . I think I pay it now AND on race day. Strange sport, this.

Figuring out taxes, tax forms are enough to make anyone loopy... so, in honor of that, I'll be looping Faith Chapel on Saturday starting at 7am for the first round.

Yes, that's me, I'll be there at 7 Saturday morning

I'll be working the Bull Run Run 50 on Saturday so I'm looking at Sunday for a 'longer' run. Hamilton or trails. Not sure yet. Hey! That Long Run List guy knows a lotta smart stuff!

I'm interested in doing extra miles on Sunday. If anyone is planning to start from LCHS, I'll join you. If not, I'll probably add an early loop of Hamilton instead.

I neglected to mention that I plan to start from LCHS. I will be there at 0700.

See you there at 7.

I'll join you at 7
